Desa ParkCity is buzzing this week as the highly anticipated Omoda | Jaecoo Carnival takes over Car Park 3 from August 21–24, 2025. More than just a showcase, the four-day festival is designed to immerse Malaysians in the future of mobility, combining new model previews, interactive experiences, and festive activities for the whole family.

First Look at the Future: Jaecoo J5 and Omoda C9 PHEV

For the first time, Malaysians are getting an exclusive preview of the Jaecoo J5, a sporty B-segment SUV expected to be priced from RM120,000. Compact yet confident, it’s positioned as the “Everyday Superstar” that blends practicality with style.

Sharing the spotlight is the Omoda C9 PHEV, the plug-in hybrid version of the brand’s flagship SUV. Powered by the advanced Super Hybrid System (SHS), the C9 PHEV balances efficiency and power, showcasing how plug-in hybrid tech is evolving to meet real-world demands. Visitors eager to learn more can step inside the SHS Experience Lab, an interactive zone that breaks down the hybrid system’s performance, configurations, and environmental benefits.

Test Drives and Hands-On Experiences

True to its promise of making cars “attainable luxury,” the carnival doesn’t stop at static displays. Visitors can book test drives from 10am to 7pm daily, trying out the Omoda J7 (in petrol and PHEV), the J8, and the petrol-powered C9. Nearby, iCAUR Malaysia offers a sneak peek at the upcoming iCAUR 03 EV, alongside a rugged obstacle drive course that lets you feel its power in simulated off-road conditions.

Merdeka Specials for Malaysians

In celebration of Merdeka, Omoda | Jaecoo is offering special deals for the Omoda J7. Depending on the variant, customers can enjoy ultra-low interest rates, extended service packages, or even a 10-year, 1,000,000-km engine and battery warranty for the PHEV. To sweeten the deal, anyone purchasing a J7 will automatically be entered into a lucky draw with the grand prize of driving home a brand-new Omoda C9.

More Than Cars: Food, Fun, and Culture

While cars remain the highlight, the carnival is equally about community and celebration. Families can enjoy kids’ play zones, while foodies can explore an array of F&B stalls serving local and international delights. Adding to the atmosphere is the Pingmin Market, a cultural bazaar showcasing artisanal goods, crafts, and culinary treats.

A Festival That Speaks to the Future

According to Emily Lek, Vice President of Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia, the event is more than a product showcase:

“The Omoda | Jaecoo Carnival brings together our most complete line-up yet, built on purpose and innovation. With the J5 and C9 PHEV, we’re giving Malaysians a glimpse of the future, while celebrating the incredible support from our customers and community.”

With its unique mix of automotive excitement, family fun, and cultural experiences, the Omoda | Jaecoo Carnival is set to be one of the standout motoring events of the year — proving that innovation doesn’t just belong on the road, but also in the way brands connect with people.
