KUALA LUMPUR, 27 NOVEMBER 2025 — iCAUR Malaysia today officially launched the iCAUR V23, the brand’s second model for the Malaysian market. Building on the momentum of the iCAUR 03, the C-segment iCAUR V23 further fortifies the brand’s status as the pioneer of fully electric off-road-capable SUVs.
Positioned as Malaysia’s first fully electric off-road capable SUV, the C-segment model is set to pioneer the adventure BEV category by blending performance, safety, and versatility.

Chery Corporate Malaysia, Executive Vice President, Men Lin Bo, explained further, “Since its debut iCAUR has introduced a fresh, dynamic approach to EV mobility. Combining potent EV off-road ability and everyday versatility, the iCAUR V23 will now answer the call of a new generation of drivers, explorers, and trendsetters.”
The iCAUR V23 pays homage to classic 4×4 icons with an expressive exterior reimagined for the electric age. Measuring 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, and paired with a long 2,735 mm wheelbase, the V23 strikes a balance between a confident, planted stance on the outside and a practical, comfortable interior for occupants on the inside.
Form meets function with short overhangs at both ends, giving the V23 generous capability with a 42-degree approach angle, a 41-degree departure angle, and gradeability of up to 40%. These proportions subtly prepare the V23 for off-road exploration whenever the mood strikes.
With 210 mm ground clearance, the iCAUR V23 is designed to handle challenging terrain and withstand water depths of up to 600 mm, matching bonafide 4×4 SUVs and modern pick-up trucks.
Its exterior is defined by modern touches, including front LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights as standard, and LED taillights complemented by a high-mounted third brake light integrated into the auxiliary storage box. Offering safety entry and egress, the V23 features a secure sidestep as standard, and interior grab handles for all passengers.
The upright silhouette and squared-off wheel arches are paired with 19-inch wheels and 255/55 R19 tyres on the V23 2WD variant, while the range-topping V23 iWD stands out with larger 21-inch wheels wrapped in 265/45 R21 tyres, adding a confident, modern presence to the overall design.
Two Distinct Powertrains
For the Malaysian market, the iCAUR V23 is offered in two configurations tailored to different driving preferences. The 2WD variant is powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor that produces 100 kW (136 PS) and 180 Nm of torque.
Paired with a 59.9-kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, it delivers up to 360 km of driving range (NEDC), making it well suited for daily commuting and urban journeys.
With smooth power delivery and inherently balanced rear-wheel-drive dynamics, the 2WD offers a driving experience that feels both efficient and enjoyable.
For those seeking added capability and power, the iCAUR V23 iWD introduces a dual-motor, intelligent all-wheel-drive system. This variant generates a combined output of 155 kW (211 PS) and 292 Nm of torque, providing confident acceleration and assured traction whether navigating a rutted trail or cruising comfortably on the highway.
Equipped with a larger 81.8-kWh Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) ternary lithium battery, the iWD offers an extended driving range of up to 430 km (NEDC).
At the heart of the V23’s performance is a compact yet powerful rear electric drive module that integrates key components such as the Motor Control Unit, Onboard Charger, and Converter.
The rear wheel bias drivetrain package mirrors the iCAUR 03, delivering smooth, responsive power and intuitive control. The iWD variant complements this with a robust Permanent Magnet Asynchronous Motor on the front axle, providing additional traction when conditions demand it.
Both variants support 6.6 kW AC charging, while the V23 2WD offers up to 85 kW of DC fast charging capability. The iWD variant increases this further with a maximum DC charging rate of 104 kW, offering added convenience for long-distance travels.
The iCAUR V23’s strong structural foundation is built around a cage-like frame comprising 70% high-strength steel. This rigidity is paired with Battery Management System (BMS) that delivers high voltage protection and precise liquid cooled temperature protection ensuring battery remains safe in all conditions. Together, these components ensure reliable protection under both everyday use and more
challenging conditions.
Reassurance comes from a comprehensive safety suite that includes six airbags and an ADAS Level 2 advanced driver assistance system. The suite is supported by a millimetre-wave radar integrated into the vehicle body to improve detection accuracy across a variety of environments.

Inside, the cabin centres around a 15.4-inch QuadHD touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, ensuring smooth operation and intuitive control. Seamless smartphone integration comes standard with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, complemented by a premium 7-speaker audio system that delivers clear, immersive sound for passengers.
Complementing its retro-inspired exterior, the iCAUR V23 features four sturdy centre-console buttons for convenient control of in-car functions, inclusive of the drive mode selector, which toggles between five drive modes in the V23 2WD variant (ECO, Comfort, Sport, Individual, Slippery), and six, with the addition of the Off-Road mode in iWD variant.
The interior is finished in black with durable soft-touch materials, creating a modern and welcoming space. Comfort is elevated with ventilated and massage seats, while practicality is ensured through a versatile boot offering 234 litres of storage—expandable to 744 litres when the flat-folding 50/50 second-row seats are folded down.
The V23 arrives in Malaysia with a vibrant colour palette designed to match its expressive personality. Customers may choose from Off Road Orange, Khaki White, Army Green, Slate Silver, Gravel Grey and Carbon Black, all paired with a refined black leather interior.
Ownership of the V23 is supported by the reliable comprehensive care that underpins all iCAUR models. This includes a seven-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000 km battery and drive unit warranty, and a battery replacement guarantee should the State of Health fall below 70% during the warranty period. The iCAUR V23 is priced at RM119,800 for the 2WD variant and RM132,800 for the iWD variant, with local deliveries beginning immediately.

For the first 1,000 registrations, iCAUR Malaysia is introducing a thoughtfully curated Early Bird Package designed to add meaningful value to the ownership experience. To further elevate day-to-day usability, the package includes an auxiliary 6.86-inch instrument cluster unit valued at RM1,000. In addition, buyers will receive an extended battery, electric motor and power control unit warranty covering up to ten-years or 200,000km.

The company is now approaching 20 network locations across Peninsular Malaysia, surpassing its initial projection of 18 locations within 2025, as demand and brand interest continue to build.
